Alan was born at Canal Street, Church. He was the son of Rachel and Tommy Douglas. Alan Died in 1998 in Burnley General Hospital aged 65. He had worked as a Qualified Nurse at Burnley General, he had also worked at Brock Hall and Calderstones. Alan married his second wife Julie in the early 1980s.
