Basic law says that if you lose something due to wrongfull arrest then compensation is in order, your son lost his education for a short while, which shouldn't be taken lightly.
Also, If the school have accused your son in front of witnesses, isn't that slander?
Then there's the mental anguish (unfortunate legal term, it basically means extreme worry caused by the accusation)
Put it this way, if it happened to someone in a high powered office somewhere, there would be a substancial sum of money paid out. |
