I cant understand why they got rid of street cleaners in the first place...i remember when i was a child growing up in burnley wood that everyone knew Arthur the street cleaner with his trolley n dustbin...we as kids didnt drop litter because we respected Arthur and helped him...if they were to get street cleaners back on the streets it would teach kids as it did me to look after the place we live in. As ive said before my sons only 2 and wouldnt dream of throwing anything on the floor and gets upset if anyone else does!! Hes learning from me as i learned as a child from Arthur...wonder what happened to him?? |
