Col and Carriebuk, I did'nt see the programe but it was an item on northwest news,it said the films were found ten years ago in a shop in Blackburn, the films were found in barrels in a cellar, they took ten years to restore by the British film archive, they have been remasterd to take out jerky movements and make them more clearer, they found a lot of films and as you know the film used was very flamable,so we now have a glimpse of life at the start of the last century in the northwest. I hope they show them in schools as a history aid. |
