Yeah, it can get quite hard going where places have got overgrown and I did feel a bit self-concious traipsing across fields with no path or visible exit at the other side. I did use a map, but it's quite old - bought in 80's, last updated about 1974! lol

I read in the Burnley express about swathes of countryside being opened up and made more user friendly, which is good although I do like to explore the wilder places as well.
