Hi John, found this site by accident and noticed your letter. Contacting you as I do my family tree. The family name is BROGAN and they lived at 6 Roper St(from censu 1881/91) and 2 Charles St (from 1861/71) On the 1861 census I have a James/Mary and Edward(child)Mulroney (possibly relatives? names varients) as borders living at Charles St with the family of Brogan. The Brogans came from Mayo/Sligo around 1851. 6 Roper St was a grocer shop/home run by my family, but haven't found any pictures of the street. I recently found out that area was known as the 'PARK' Will be visiting Burnley in the coming months to try to find pictures etc., at the local library so will keep you in mind when looking.
