There are issues with single sex changing too, remember, perverts don't just go after the opposite sex.
The open style single sex changing rooms are a perverts dream come true.
I've been used to mixed sex cubicle areas since I was a kid. The old victorian baths I went to used to have cubicles all around the pool, and then in the late 70's, a brand new leisure centre, with slides etc opened, and again, it was mixed sex, cubicle based areas.
I think the issue really is leaving open space at the bottom and top. The bottom is solved by having cubicle walls that touch the floor, and the top is solved by having ceilings on.
From what I read, certain areas of St. Peters changing area will be set aside for single sex use only, and others for mixed - I think that's a decent compromise. |
