The busy road, off Manchester Road where it is a sort of crossroads, (see I don't even know the names of the streets yet!) walking into town from Manchester Road station, right goes along towards Tesco and left towards ? with straight on going to town. Know where I mean? WHY is there no pedestrian 'green man'? There are traffic lights but it is practically impossible to cross for a pedestrian!
There is NO BOOKSHOP, well none that I have been able to find apart from a small one on the parade of shops across from Staples. No Waterstones??? Don't people here read?
Does Burnley have any dentists? NHS ones that is? Rare as hen's teeth from what I've been told.
A taxi driver who can understand where I want to go and whom I can understand too would be helpful. No offence to anyone meant and I hope not taken just a plain fact.
As to Burnley Wood, where I am living, WHY don't the council just get their act together and remove all the rubbish instead of leaving it to be tossed around the streets? Why if they are so keen on recycling don't they collect e.g. the glass so conveniently left in small pieces by the roadside and in the park by residents/resident's children?
Well just some thoughts to be going on with... |
I accept all of the above comments, why? then is our Council Tax increasing once again? are the things you mention going to be resolved by a miracle from our Council?
