Re: Stress It depends on the stress I think. Some stress can be beneficial as it gets your adrenalin going but negative stress can be quite debilitating. I once had a job where I couldn't do right for doing wrong in the eyes of the manager. If there were two ways of doing a thing whichever one I chose would be the wrong one. It became so stressful that I actually ended up being physically ill and that was a blessing because it forced me to take a step back and look at the overall picture and realise that the manager was an idiot and trying to please him was a waste of effort.
Realising that there are some things you cannot change and just accepting that is a big help. Even if those things are things that would be beneficial if you could change them. One of the best pieces of advice I've ever been given is: You can't do anything about how other people act but you can control how you react. and Learn the difference between the things you can change and the things you can't. Do something about the former and learn to live with the latter.
