Bin googling .. yes, Veitnam celebrate the first three days of the New Year with a holiday plus something called Tet ?
All very interesting .. never looked at it before .. seems year 4705 and didn't realise that the Firecrackers and colour Red was to scare away this creature called Nian, a man eating beast. Worked near China Town in Manchester for many years and the fire crackers usually went off at weddings .. to ward off bad luck .. just thought was a decoration type thing.
