There are however, a lot of elderly folk who don't use mobiles...My Ma is one of them and most of the pesioners that we shop for do not have them....though to be honest, these folk rarely go out.........that is why I thought that the information could be on the outside of the fridge door...under one of the fridge magnets that these folk seem to collect.
It isn't nice to have to rummage through folks drawers at a time when you are under some stress. |
I do agree that the elderly need to have some details written down in an accesible place just in the event of anything happening, even if it was on the fridge or by their phone, (landline) if they have one. I got my father in law one of the things I mentioned, a few years ago, for some reason, York was doing it, then where I am living now, have just introduced them. He thought they were a great idea, and put his mind at rest if he became ill at home and the warden needed to get his details, they were in the fridge, and a sticker on his front door makes you aware that he has his details in the fridge! I guess it doesnt matter what you have, as long as people are aware of any conditions you have, important numbers and any meds you are on.
