Hello everybody Good afternoon to you all. I have found this website as I was searching the internet to try to find information about evacuees to Brierfield in the second World War.
My sister Rose and I were evacuated from Bexley in Kent in 1944 and stayed at the home of Mr and Mrs George Ward and their two sons David and Alan. I am fairly sure that the address was Railway Terrace in Brierfield and Mr George Ward was a policeman and Mrs Quita [?] Ward played the accordian in a dance band.
I am trying to fill some gaps in my family history and if their is anybody out there who could help me or direct me as to where I might find some information about this time I would be very grateful
My very best wishes to you all
