I've been looking for this photo for a while to share with you on here and today whilst I was looking for something else I found it.

A couple of years ago my husband, girls and I went to visit family in Bedfordshire. We arrived late and hadn't had chance to organise anywhere to stay overnight (the folks we were visiting were in a very small flat at the time) but someone managed to locate a B&B for us with a single room and a room with 3 beds which seemed ideal (the girls and I could have the three bed room and Busman the single room).

It was horrible! To say the accomodation was spartan would be an understatement. The carpets were threadbare, the cupboard/wardrobe was filthy and the beds were awful with springs sticking into us all night. It really was awful. As for the breakfast side of it, that was another story. The set up was a bit like a motel and we came out of our rooms and round the block outside to get to the 'restaurant' which turned out to be a greasy spoon cafe.

I was so disgusted at the state of the place that I insisted we couldn't possibly stay there more than the one night and just so people would know we weren't exaggerating when we told them about it I took some photos.

This is one of the photos. As I was just about to take it I noticed out of the corner of my eye a sort of green luminous transparent shape sitting on Em's bed apparently reading a book. My camera was actually aimed at the other wall (where the door is) but I turned quickly and snapped this. Unfortunately it is blurred as I was moving and didn't have time to focus and as soon as I clicked the thing was gone, but I did capture it with my camera and here it is.



When we told someone down there where we'd stayed the previous night he told us that sometime previously a prostitute had been murdered there!
