I agree with you on the abuse Willow...the Social Team who were responsible for this appalling case should be sacked and jailed.....though I don't suppose they will get more than a slap on the wrist.
As far as the consensual sex goes.......I have not read anywhere that the child (for that is what she is) had agreed to sexual contact.....in fact in the report that I read there was nothing about any previous sexual activity.
And whether the men were out looking for a child to abuse is not the point.....one man took advantage of her and then took her to a mate who also used her for sexual gratification.......they were both led by that thing in their pants pocket......and had no thought for the girl/child.
This sentence sends out all the wrong messages to men who like their sexual partners young. It says if she looks 16 it is Ok because you can always say she was asking for it.....and that you THOUGHT she was old enough to consent.
