When I was in Ireland we had a neighbour (few miles down the road) called Mrs. McGarry, bless her cotton socks. One day she invited us round for tea and made an Irish coffee. She carefully poured in the cream over the back of the spoon, then dropped the spoon into the cup and gave it a vigorous stirring!!
