wow now I do feel old. I have to admit I loved the 60s and 70s I was 16 in 1960 the new freedoms of expression, art and music were so exciting for me straight out of convent school,( supposed to stay on but life was too exiting) Found the Kings Road and Kensington, High Street and went wild. Sorry I had never been north then (though northern born have no memory of it) so don't know what the scene was like in Burnley or Manchester, though Liverpool was revered, and many faked scouse accents.
I should love to see the work they are doing, helps to keep up with the youngsters otherwise your art stagnates, but as you see I do get very retro. |
