 Re: Poetry please!
This is my own poem.......written by myself back in 1996, let me know your thoughts on it, my daughter was one year old at the time, thought i would write some poetry, and this is the only poem i have wrote since, its special to me as i was thinking of my daughters future and the environment at the time........Keep saying i will put pen to paper but never do, i would if i could make money at it..........lol.........
..............THE EARTH'S DESTRUCTION........
We know not much about it,
the place where we all live,
it has so much to offer,
yet each day has less to give.
Our planet is expanding slowly,
we give nothing in return,
future generations will suffer,
while we sit and let it burn.
The oxygen is fading,
animals and plants will die,
the ocean level rises,
acid rain falls from the sky.
Now food is being polluted,
some new bacteria every day,
all through man made error,
yet so much of this decay.
We all should know the answers,
the things that we could do,
to stop the earth's destruction,
it belongs to me and you!!......
